Choose Your Social Network(s)

A presence in all social networks does not equate success. You can be in one and be more effective. Evaluate all of them and determine which one(s) best suits your marketing strategy. Bear in mind that they are all unique with different audiences. In which one(s) are you likely to make the biggest impact? Are the demographics right? Do you have the right resources in form of photos or content that suits the selected network(s)? These are just some of the questions that you should ask yourself in order to narrow down on the right network(s).

Complete Your Profile

At this point, you have set your goals and objectives and you have carefully selected the social network(s) that will best work for you. Before you start posting, make sure your profile is complete and professional. Choose visuals that best capture the message you are trying to pass across. If you are in more than one network, make sure that the visuals match across the board. Make the bio short without leaving out important details, precise, personal and captivating.

Research Your Competitors

Unless you have a monopoly, there is every chance that there are at least a few brands dealing in the same good or offering the same services already using social media. Find out everything you can find about their strategy. This will serve two purposes. Firstly, it will give you an edge by helping you strategize with their activities in mind. Secondly, you will be able to find out what is working out there and what is not. That way, you can avoid repeating their mistakes and, at the same time, borrow their successful tactics.

Develop a Posting Strategy

Finally, you need to work out a content posting strategy. Sporadic content won’t take you anywhere. There should be a method to it. Pay more attention to the frequency and the timing. At what time or times of the day are your potential customers most active on social media? Find out and note down. Make it sustained and watch your fortune rise.
